Terms of Use

Welcome to Hia Medical Translator. These terms apply to your use of:
- our Android app;
- our website (including checkout and account pages); and
- our WhatsApp and Telegram bots.
By using any part of the service, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Educational service only
Hia Medical Translator is an educational language tool that helps you understand, pronounce, and review English medical terms. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for a doctor, nurse, or other qualified professional.
Do not rely on explanations, pronunciation audio, or any response from the app or bots as the sole basis for clinical or medical decisions. In emergencies or when you have medical concerns, contact a qualified professional immediately.
Pronunciation audio (in the app or bots) is for learning only and may not match official clinical pronunciation in every case.
2. Who may use the service
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the service. If you are younger, use the service only with a parent or legal guardian’s supervision.
3. Your account and linking
- In the app, we create a simple account tied to your device so you can use core features without providing an email or phone number.
- When subscribing on the website, you may sign in with Google to link your subscription. Your use of Google is also subject to Google’s terms.
- You may link your subscription between the app and a WhatsApp or Telegram bot using a link code from Settings. You are responsible for keeping that code private.
4. Subscriptions and payment
- Much of the service is available free. Full access (including extra app and bot features) requires a paid subscription after confirmation.
- You can subscribe via the website checkout page (Google sign-in and payment options shown for your country), or by activating with our support team on WhatsApp/Telegram.
- A free trial or temporary access may be offered while payment is confirmed. We may suspend or adjust access if payment is not confirmed or if abuse is detected.
- Payments outside Google Play / outside-store flows are handled manually through support channels (local transfer, digital currency, and similar). Prices and fees may vary by country and payment method.
- You may cancel activation in the app Settings. A partial refund estimate may be shown; actual refunds are processed manually after support review, not instantly.

5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the service for illegal, harmful, or misleading activity;
- spam, attempt to disrupt the service, or overload our systems;
- attempt unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or data;
- use automated tools or bots to abuse the service or bypass limits;
- copy, resell, or commercially exploit our content without permission; or
- rely on service responses as your only source for medical decisions.
We may monitor abusive patterns (such as repeated invalid input or automated messaging) and take action including temporary restrictions or permanent suspension. If you believe access was restricted in error, email privacy@hiamedicaltranslator.com.
6. Content and ownership
Explanations, examples, pronunciation, and other materials we provide are for your personal educational use. The “Hia Medical Translator” brand and service materials are protected by intellectual property rights. Using the service does not give you the right to copy, distribute, or sell our content.
Terms you search remain yours; by submitting them you grant us a limited license to process them, deliver the service to you, and improve it, as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Availability and updates
- We aim to keep the service running, but it is provided “as is.” It may pause for maintenance or because of technical or network issues.
- We may change, limit, or discontinue features (in the app, bots, or website) at any time.
- On Android, we may require you to install a newer app version from Google Play when needed for security or compatibility. Without updating, you may not be able to continue using the app.
- The first lookup needs internet; saved terms may remain available on your device afterward.
8. Third-party platforms
Parts of the service run through external platforms. Your use is also subject to their terms, including:
- WhatsApp (Meta) — when you message our WhatsApp bot. See WhatsApp’s terms.
- Telegram — when you use our Telegram bot. See Telegram’s terms.
- Google — when you sign in with Google on the website or download the app from Google Play.
We are not responsible for the content, policies, or availability of these platforms.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- we provide the service without express or implied warranties (including accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose);
- we do not guarantee that every explanation, pronunciation, or translation is error-free; and
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.
10. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time (including uninstalling the app or stopping bot messages). We may restrict or terminate access when needed for security, legal compliance, or abuse prevention. Disclaimer and limitation sections survive termination.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
